RMP is a commercial product and costs some amount (maybe $50, but I don't remember), so it's not for everyone. When I have a few bars memorized, I switch over to the "Backing" track and see if I REALLY have it & can play it without the help of Griff playing in the Play Along track. I'll slow down and loop a small section till I've got it, then move on to the next. When I'm trying to learn one of Griff's solos, I usually just load both the "Play Along" and "Backing" tracks into RMP. It obviously doesn't have the tab scrolling for you, but I really don't use the tabs much at all except to see wher he is fingering certain notes. I use Riffmaster Pro (RMP) for speed up and slow down operations and you can loop one small section to play it over and over. I will respectfully withdraw the idea and get back to working on 'I Believe'. So I guess it is not a great idea after all even if it seemed like a great idea at the time -) The materials provided by Griff are awesome and complete and I am looking forward to digging into this course. I have since come to realize that it would not be right to trade GP files of Griff's work, as they are really not needed and not everyone in the forum has bought the course and would have a right to have them. It was just a thought, I thought I would pass along. Once I get a piece/section memorized, I can use the Speed Trainer to slowly increment the tempo to help me get it up to speed.īesides, using GP files helps to justify having bought GP -)

So basically, with GP, I can have the tab display on the screen and play along at whatever tempo is comfortable. I do not get commissions -)īenefits that I personally feel GP might add for some are I am truly looking forward to playing along with them.
